Never read the book or watched the show itself, more of a sort of guess work from the promos I've seen as well as spoilerfest on wiki and it has to be one of the weirdest & mysterious shows I have ever heard of.

It definitely ain't no "m night shyamalan" type nonsense at least, its like they keep the mystery around it under lock and key and just keeps me guessing the more I read on it.

The first series was a very good conversion of the book.

The second season is based after the events of the book, and entirely the creation of Lindelof and his team. The second season has been amazing so far (only 5 episodes in), and HBO have agreed to renew the show for a third and final season.

I've yet to watch season 2, I will do over the Xmas break.

I really 'liked' season 1. It's incredibly dark, painful to watch at times and very messed up. I was really surprised something like this got made in the US, given the religious themes.

Really enjoyed S1, but the first episode of S2 didn't grab me at all so haven't watched any more of it. Will catch it when I next re-sub to Sky Go.

I just started this again from the start - it's heartbreakingly stunning.

In was tired when I first tried this show and it seemed a little like a miss again. I read something on Waypoint a few weeks ago that tells me I think I missed the point of the show and that it wasn't about the answers to the big mystery but more about the characters left. Definitely something I want to give a try.

Season 3 done and gotta say it's been a phenomenal show in all. 2nd and 3rd seasons in particular were very good indeed, and I'm kicking myself I bailed on S2 when it was first on.
I would highly recommend people take their time with it, as binge watching left me in a sorry old state. Can be quite draining due to the darkness and making you contemplate faith, life, death and loss.

Struggling to find the right words for it, but it's a very special show.
