For the 3rd Captain America movie their going to bring the "Cival Act" comic storyline into play which turns Iron Man into Captain America's enemy as a result of the Superhuman Registration Act.

Long story arc short well let's just say its not going to end nicely.

My understanding was this is the last movie using the same actor

So a good way to end

Without spoiling the comic books

Cap America was right and iron man a dick

In the comics almost everyone has turned into a bit of a dick though

The Phase 3 films are definitely going to be interesting.

I said years ago when the Marvel Cinema universe first started getting traction that I'd love to see their version of the civil war.

This is a huge arc and there have been a lot of rumours that a few of the actors are jumping out after Avengers 3 and there's plenty of opportunity for that to happen and even more direct after Winter Soldier so looking forward to see where it goes.

Hard to really get into without spoiling anything or discussing what happens in the comics.

When comic book movies got big, the first thing I said was "Civil War would be awesome" but I feel that this is too soon. Their universe is still particularly small even though they're supposedly trying to pay Sony for Spider-Man's involvement.

I'd like them to flesh out their universe more before this but I'm guessing they've figured out enough shit for it otherwise they wouldn't have announced it.

I think the problem is the comics had 40 solid years of development before the Civil War happened and when it did they dug deep in the archives to really bring the entire universe together. The movies take longer to develop, tell a smaller scale story, and ultimately have less to offer when bringing everything in. I completely agree with you, would love a longer tail, more TV shows to really develop the universe in between movies and build up the same empire from the comics.

I just hope the movies have the same bravado as the comics to completely change everything in a single sweep and stick too it rather than pander to a mass market.

Just use
Spoiler:
spoilers chaps

I love reading about this sort of stuff, I don't mind reading spoilers and no doubt, films dumb them down and change things anyway.

Oh yeah, I know that. I think it's just a shame their goal is too big, too quick.
I guess it doesn't help when actors are wanting to jump ship after they've spent so long making a character or threatening to quit if they don't get more money etc.

I think that the end of The Winter Soldier is testament to their ability to absolutely fuck everything up (excuse my French) in one fell swoop. Although, we'll have to wait until their next Earth-based movie to see just how deeply that did mess everything up.

I can see how a Civil War-type storyline could evolve from what's currently going on though and it is exciting. I love big 'nerdy' shit like this.

I would love to see a version of Civil War. If they spent time in development of story, kind of like what they did with the Marvel movies in the run up to Avengers, then that would be canny. Start the arc after Age of Ultron and see if they can bring it together.

I read somewhere that Downey Jnr is on board for his role, and Evans said he would stick with the Cap as long as he got a go at directing too.

I would like to see a Ruffalo Hulk movie before any of this, mind.

3rd Captain America to be called Serpent Society. Guessing that means a whole lot more to some of you than me!

UPDATE: they are now saying it is called Civil War, Im so confused. I think it should just be Captain America 3

list of all phase 3 films here https://pbs.twimg.com/media/B1De0YYCcAAC_Fn.jpg:large

Avengers 3 split into 2 parts.
